Craving that 卤肉饭 (lu3 rou4 fan4, braised pork rice), thick toast sandwich or XXL fried chicken you had in Taiwan? Look no further! We have compiled a list of three Taiwanese eateries that brought authentic Taiwanese cuisine to Singapore.
1. Eat 3 bowls
The restaurant is aptly named after their three most popular items, Taiwanese chicken rice, braised pork rice and oyster intestines mee sua. We recommend the Eat 3 Bowls set. Priced at $15/-, you get to try all three items, accompanied with a drink of your choice. Drinks include Fresh Milk with Brown Sugar Pearls, Bubble Tea Latte, Green Tea with Yakult, and of course not forgetting Fresh Milk (Black / Green) Tea! Drinks are priced from $1.80 to $3.80.
Side dishes such as Taiwanese Sausage, Braised Intestines and Herbal Pork Rib Soup range from $1.30 to $6/-.

2. Fong Sheng Hao
Hailing from the Shilin Night Market in Taipei, Fong Sheng Hao is known for its homemade thick Pork Sandwiches.
The restaurant was fairly packed during our visit to the PLQ mall outlet, and we had to wait almost 25 minutes for our food to be ready. We ordered the Pork, Egg and Cheese sandwich ($6.30), the Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken rice ($9.80) and also their Signature Milk Tea ($3.90).
The homemade bread from the sandwich had a unique tinge of milky sweetness to it and the pork was fragrant and not too salty. The Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken is crispy on the outside and yet soft and tender on the inside. However for what its worth, the portion seem a little too small. The Signature Milk Tea was creamy and pleasantly sweet, but not too cloying.

Fried chicken is a must for every Taiwanese food lover. Monga's chicken patty is guaranteed to be at least 2cm thick, and double-fried to ensure all the crispiness with none of the oily, gelat feeling.
Their three flavours include:
The King - The OG of XXL crispy patties, flavored with their original salt and pepper seasoning
